Vitemax is a premium-quality rutile electrode suitable for all welding positions, including vertical downwards. This electrode offers a smooth and quiet arc action, minimal spatter loss, excellent striking and re-striking capabilities, and exceptional slag detachability. In many cases, the slag naturally lifts away. The electrode welds at a relatively low temperature, making it perfect for bridging large gaps, especially in situations with poor fit-up or for tacking. This versatile electrode features a rapid burn-off rate, resulting in smooth welds in all positions. The weld metal it deposits meets the radiographic quality standards of AWS A5.1 grade 1.

Applications: Vitemax is recommended for welding a wide range of carbon-manganese steels with a carbon equivalent below 0.28%. It can also be used effectively in applications with higher carbon equivalents, provided the correct preheat conditions are met.
